Dobór aparatów słuchowych jest to proces. Wpływa nie tylko na efekt końcowy, czyli to jak Pacjent słyszy i rozumie mowę, ale również na poczucie bezpieczeństwa i komfort Pacjenta w nowej sytuacji.

Sprawdzenie stanu drożności przewodów słuchowych. Jeśli okaże się, że są jakiekolwiek przeciwwskazania do wykonania badania np.; korek woskowinowy, Pacjent najpierw musi udać się do lekarza specjalisty w celu oczyszczenia uszu. Jeśli nie, kolejnym krokiem jest BADANIE AUDIOMETRII TONALNEJ.

Badanie Audiometrii Tonalnej

Jest to podstawowe badanie słuchu, na podstawie którego jesteśmy w stanie określić stopień ubytku i jego rodzaj. Jest to badanie subiektywne, co oznacza, że wymaga współpracy między Protetykiem, a Pacjentem.
Na uszy mamy założone słuchawki. Za każdym razem, kiedy zaczniemy słyszeć dźwięk, naszym zadaniem jest przyciśnięcie przycisku. Dżwięki mają różną częstotliwość, badanie wykonuje się dwoma rodzajami słuchawek- kostną i powietrzną. Nie boli i nie jest inwazyjne.

Dopasowanie Aparatu Słuchowego

Na podstawie wyniku Badania Audiometrii Tonalnej, szczegółowego wywiadu na temat stanu zdrowia, potrzeb pacjenta oraz szczegółowej diagnostyki tj. dodatkowych badań Protetyk może przejść do głównego etapu czyli DOPASOWANIA APARATÓW SŁUCHOWYCH.

Uzyskanie Wniosków na Refundację

Dodatkowo korzyścią z aparatowania obustronnego jest możliwość dotarcia dźwięków niezależnie od kierunku, z którego dochodzą dzięki czemu zwiększa się możliwość ich lokalizacji, a co za tym idzie nasze poczucie bezpieczeństwa np.; na ulicy czy w zatłoczonym miejscu. Lepsze jest również rozumienie mowy co przekłada się na naszą pewność siebie i komfort w sytuacjach, gdy przebywamy w kilka osób.

Pacjenci, których wynik badania audiometrii tonalnej wskazuje na to, iż średni ubytek słuchu wynosi 40% i więcej oraz, że jest to ubytek odbiorczy (trwały), mają prawo do skorzystania z dofinansowania z Narodowego Funduszu Zdrowia. Jest ono przyznawane raz na pięć lat w przypadku osób dorosłych i raz na 3 lata w przypadku dzieci do 26 r.ż.
